at any time of the year, and to net higher yields with fewer resources. By
substituting a different material instead of soil to support the roots of the
plant, crops are grown directly in nutrient-rich water. With its ability to
produce higher yields than traditional, soil-based agriculture, hydroponic
farming gained immense popularity.
