It’s a common misconception, that in order to get a finely brewed blend of cappuccino, you need the complex setup of long brews, expensive coffee machines, and exotic beans. But that’s not true at all! Here’s how you can fix yourself a nice steaming cup of cappuccino right at home.
Go fancy:
Ingredients and Equipment:
• Instant Coffee
• Milk to taste
• An empty bottle or a jar with a lid
• Kettle or pan
• Sugar to taste
• 1 cup of water
Instructions:
1. Boil a cup of water in a kettle or pan. Mix the boiled water in a mug with 1-2 teaspoons of coffee of your choice. Add sugar as per taste.
2. Pour the desired amount of milk into a small pan. Boil it. Remove shortly after.
3. Transfer the boiled milk into a jar or an empty bottle. Tightly close the jar or bottle and shake it hard for about 20-30 seconds, or until a froth forms.
4. Pour the liquid milk into your mug and use a spoon to stir it into the coffee. Then scoop the foamed milk out and top your coffee with it. Sprinkle cinnamon or cocoa powder over the froth.
Or keep it basic:
Ingredients and Equipment:
• Instant coffee
• Milk to taste
• Sugar to taste
• Kettle or pan
• 1 cup water
Instructions:
1. Make the mixture, by combining 1.5 teaspoons of instant coffee with 1 tablespoon of sugar in a mug. Then add about a teaspoon of water, and beat the mixture with a spoon for about 5-7 minutes or until it turns light brown.
2. Pour 1 cup of milk into a pan. Keep the burner to medium-high and wait for it to bubble and rise.
3. Pour the boiled milk into your cup. Then stir vigorously to mix and work up the froth. Sprinkle with coffee or cocoa powder over the froth if desired.
