A Christmas-Y Movie List

I had initially thought I’d make a post on how best to celebrate Christmas amidst this covid trauma drama. But soon realized each of my ideas was ridiculously impractical. So shall refrain from boring you with idealistic but impossible ideas.

Instead, here’s a list of my favorite Christmas (themed or smack-in-the-face) movies, in no particular order. Snuggle in with some hot cocoa, and binge away! If you share the nostalgia, or like the suggestions, do let me know in the comments section below. 🙂

Cappuccino Vs Latte

Coffee is a wonderful beverage that has been around for a long time and has a lot of romanticism attached to it.

However, the next time you plan to consume caffeine – whether to stay awake before an exam, catch up on piled-up jobs, maximize athletic success on the track, or simply get a buzz – do so in the healthiest manner possible.

When looking at a coffee shop menu, most people have no idea what to order and don’t know the difference between a Cappuccino and an Espresso or an Americano. Below is a list of various coffees that will help you better understand the menu and determine what is best for your palate. Coffee can be consumed on its own or with the addition of milk, lemon, or brandy, as in Espresso.

Skin Care: How Does It Differ For Men and Women

Skincare is an essential aspect of overall health and well-being. It involves a range of practices aimed at maintaining the health and appearance of the skin, which is the body's largest organ. The skin serves as a protective barrier against external threats such as harmful UV rays, pollution, and bacteria. It also plays a crucial role in regulating body temperature, managing fluid balance, and supporting the immune system. Proper skin care practices can help prevent skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis, and can also slow down the aging process. With so many options and products available, it can be overwhelming to choose a skincare routine that works for you. However, understanding your skin type and concerns, as well as incorporating healthy habits into your daily routine, can help you achieve healthy and radiant skin.

Popular Group Collaboration Tools For Effective WFH

A decade ago, remote work was uncommon in general and restricted to international MNCs. Working at home was normally only possible on a case-by-case basis to meet the needs of individual households. Teleconferencing and telework technologies, on the other hand, have progressed to the extent that certain companies will now operate with entirely distributed teams. It's not unusual for companies to encourage their workers to work from home once or twice a week.

Meme Me!

When you google the word ‘Meme’, it first shows you the definition of a meme: “an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by internet users, often with slight variations.” As dictionaries usually tend to do, this is a very concise but brief summary of what a meme is supposed to be. We get to know that it can be either an image, video or even just a piece of text. That it is funny and thus spread rapidly all over the internet. What it fails to explain is the cultural significance that memes have gained all over the world in the last decade. To understand this; first, we need to know how memes came to be.

Guinea Pigs: Little Bundles Of Joy

The fact that I’ve had 5 of these (2 right now), I’m surprised this blog post has taken so long to come out! My first ever guinea pig was Cheeku, a birthday present my brother got me all the way from Pune. Of the 5 I’ve had, so far, he was the smartest, most sensible of them all! Not only did he like to get petted, but he also loved to play and was not afraid to cuddle. He was ridiculously pampered and was around for about 2 years. Cheeku was replaced by Oreo and Ginger, bought from a local breeder here in Delhi itself. While Ginger’s journey with me was short-lived (he passed away in less than 3 months 🙁 ) Oreo played the role of a thankless pet for almost 3 years. Oreo was everything Cheeku was not; shy, skittish, greedy, and afraid to be petted, but he was still an integral part of my life. Oreo certainly knew how to pose for the camera! My latest piggies are Cookie and Honey, a gift from two very dear friends. I fear both of them are a little mental. 😛 When I got them, Cookie was shy and shrieked every time I picked him up, and Honey was more than happy to let me stroke his head and snout. Now that they’ve both gotten comfortable with me; Cookie loves getting petted and scratched, while Honey will do anything and everything to stay out of my grasp! Weirdos these two are!

Dark Chocolate: A Loyalist’s Favourite Brands

I’ve been in love with chocolate, ever since I was allowed to have it! And I don’t really care what color it is (definitely not a racist!) White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, or Dark Chocolate, I’m forever ready for any and all. When I was a kid, milk chocolate was the most common, Cadburys Dairy Milk; then came white chocolate as Nestle’s Milky Bar; it was however way into my late teens, that I discovered dark chocolate. And it is dark chocolate that I want to write about today. I promise to keep the health mumbo-jumbo about dark chocolate to the minimum and focus on my favorites primarily. If by the end of this post, you’re left with a strong craving for some dark chocolate, do let me know in the comments section below 🙂

My Favourite Dog Breeds

I LOVE DOGS. There, I said it, in all caps. Now before I share with you a list of my favorite dog breeds, here’s a little something about my own dog, Nuts (may he rest in peace). A pure-bred Lhasa Apso, he was named so, firstly coz imagination was low during those formative years, 😛 and because in less than 24 hours in our home, it was crystal clear, that we were nuts about him and he was nuts about us.

How To Be YOU, The Access Consciousness Way

Life is all about choices. The choices we make, define the path we take. While growing up, each of us is told and taught what is right, what is wrong, what is good, what is bad, how we should adjust to fit in, and how we must do what is expected of us. While it shapes you up to be who you are, do you realize how restrictive that is!? These restrictions, limit you to being truly YOU!

Pimples (Acne): Myth vs. Fact

Pimples, also known as acne, are a common skin condition that affects millions of people worldwide. They occur when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells, leading to the formation of small, red, and sometimes painful bumps on the skin. While pimples are most commonly associated with adolescence, they can affect people of all ages and can be a source of embarrassment and discomfort. Understanding the causes, prevention, and treatment of pimples is essential for maintaining healthy skin and preventing long-term scarring or skin damage.

Social Distancing: The What & The How

Fearing the Coronavirus (Covid -19) spread, we’ve all been advised to practice social distancing. Considering the monumental population of our country, it has been strongly recommended to practice all cautions necessary. At the end of the day, we are all in this together. If we want to survive, we’ll literally have to take responsibility and take any and all precautionary measures. We, Indians, simply cannot afford to let Covid -19 spread! The resulting infection would be catastrophic!

Healthy Breakfast Options

No one is unfamiliar with the importance of breakfast. Despite new studies coming up every day, the fact is that breakfast remains the most important meal of the day. Thanks to the fast pace of life that everyone leads now, mornings are hectic with long commutes, slow-moving traffic, and general tiredness. All these little inconveniences make a majority of the population unable to sit down and eat breakfast. Others find it impossible to stomach food early in the morning while some find the usual breakfast foods unappealing to eat.

Why Getting Proper Sleep is Essential: Myths vs. Facts

Getting proper sleep is essential for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Sleep is a vital process that allows our body to rest and rejuvenate. It is during sleep that our brain processes the information we have learned during the day, and our body repairs and replenishes itself. Lack of sleep or poor quality of sleep can lead to various health problems, such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and depression. It can also impair cognitive functions, including memory, attention, and decision-making. Therefore, getting enough and good quality sleep is crucial for maintaining a healthy and productive life.
