Zack Snyder’s Justice League is the classic example of what a dedicated and persistent fanbase can do. The Justice League movie released in 2017 as a part of the DC Extended Universe was unanimously a big disappointment so as I sat down to watch this movie with a runtime of 4 hours; I was a little skeptical. Though the film wasn’t that great, the extra-long run-time wasn’t torturous. Initially intended as a 6 part series, this film was meant to be an IMAX release; but thanks to covid, here we are.
Even though the story was no surprise and the same as its 2017 version, the visuals were amazing. As Steppenwolf and his para-demons try to destroy the earth, Batman and Wonder Woman try to unite a team of superheroes to fight them. What is different in this film though, is the attention to detail in its narration. While it does make the movie longer than I would have liked, it finally does justice to the epic DC characters. The thorough character development of Cyborg and The Flash brings out some amazing CGI work. I was on the edge of my seat watching the Amazon fight scene, which could qualify for a movie in itself! The battle with the gods, Steppenwolf’s armor, and the final battle scene have all been greatly improved, giving them a fresh look.
You may want to set aside quality time if you wish to indulge in the film. IMDB rates this film at 8.2/10, which too, makes it an intriguing time investment. You can watch it on BookMyShow Stream or PopCorm Time.
